Dear CAPA Members and Friends:
Chinese American Petroleum Association is pleased to announce the 2017 Petroleum Technical Symposium, which is to be held on Friday, November 3, 2017. The Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG) will sponsor the student paper contest. Additionally, the Society of Petroleum Resources Economists (SPRE) will co-host the session on Petroleum Economics this year.
This symposium will include keynote presentations form leaders in oil and gas industry during the morning general session:
· Bill Abriel, President 2016-2017, SEG
· Dr. Xiaojun Huang, Geophysics Manager, ExxonMobil Upstream Research Company
· Josh McCall, Fundamental Analytics Director, BP
· Dr. Doreen Chin, Vice President, Subsea Engineering Technologies LLC
Parallel technical sessions in the afternoon will include 36 technical papers over six sessions:
• Deepwater and Conventional Exploration & Production
• Big Data and Unconventional Plays
• Petroleum Economics (Co-organized with SPRE)
• Engineering and HSE
• Business Development Panel Discussion
• Student Paper Contest
Special recognition of CAPA sponsors will take place during the morning general session. Thanks to the strong support from CAPA sponsors the symposium registration fees (including continental breakfast, lunch, beverages, symposium proceedings and parking) have been discounted.
Program Schedule
Online registration for Members: $30, Between Jobs: $15 and Students: $10; Additional $10 for walk-in registration.
Parking tickets will be validated at the registration desk. We encourage you to carpool for this event to show our support of energy conservation.
